Sigma BF

In this project, I was tasked with creating an animation that visually breaks down and illustrates the inner workings of a technical system. The aim was to communicate how the system functions by deconstructing it and presenting its components in a clear and engaging way.

For this assignment, I chose to focus on the newly released Sigma BF camera and one of its compatible lenses. I modeled both the camera body and the lens from scratch in 3D, paying close attention to detail in order to accurately represent their form and functionality. The animation showcases how the camera and lens components interact, highlighting elements such as the lens mount mechanism, internal optics, and sensor layout. By breaking the system apart digitally, I was able to explore and explain the camera’s technical features in a way that is both informative and visually compelling.
